This gorgeous butterfly is a Polyura eudamippus, also known as the great nawab. This butterfly can be found in India and the Indomalayan realm that belongs to the rajahs and nawabs group (subfamily Charaxinae) of the brush-footed butterflies (family Nymphalidae).

Its wingspan reaches 9–12 centimetres (3.9–4.8 in).
